- Remember the "Choose-Your-Own-Adventure" books from when you were a kid? They were created by Edward
Packard in the early 1980s, and were just sheer genius. Each book
is a non-linear narrative centered around the same protagonist:
YOU. As you read, you were regularly presented with choices at the
bottom of the page, which took you in different narrative directions.
- Well, we've stolen the idea for the web! Now, you are Max's hapless
suitemate Tommy, faced with a typical Friday night dilemma: stay in and watch
Babylon 5 or go out and "party like Richard Feynman" (the original get-down
physicist). How you choose is up to you, and each choice will
take you down a totally different path. You can start the adventure
many many times and have a different adventure every time-- it all depends on your choices!
